Greenhaven's insulation is made from soybeans. This spray foam insulation is not only a superior home envelope insulator but it also blocks air infiltration, the leading cause of energy loss in a building. Our soybean spray foam eliminates the particles that are emitted and develop from traditional fibrous and dusty insulations.

About SoyTherm Spray Foam Insulation
SoyTherm spray insulation is a two-component, open celled, spray-applied, water blown semi-rigid polyurethane insulation foam. It is made from soybeans and contains no ozone-depleting chemicals, VOC's, formaldehyde, or asbestos. SoyTherm 50 requires less energy to produce than spay foams made of petroleum products.
Spray Foam insulation is the frontrunner in energy efficient technologies designed for your home. Recent advances have enabled a shift away from traditional insulation products, and towards spray foam insulation which blocks air infiltration, the leading cause of energy loss in a building. Urethane Soy Systems provides most environmentally advanced spray foam products with its SoyTherm line of Spray Foam Insulation.
Soytherm will air seal and insulate in a single application, blocking out particulates such as dust, pollen, and allergens from your home. It adheres and conforms to any shape so that even the smallest leak is eliminated from the building envelope. This particular system has been rated to save up to 60% in utility bills, as well as reducing the HVAC tonnage by as much as 50%.
Urethane Soy Systems has replaced petroleum based products with Soyol, a completely soy based raw material. The advantage of such a process is obvious in its ability to save a significant amount of energy not only in its finished form inside the home, but also in refining the measures used to create the raw materials.
Urethane Soy Systems has been recognized by Building for Environmental and Economic Sustainability (BEES) with a report that credits Soyol as a net sequester of 2.2 pounds of carbon dioxide for every pound of Soyol used. This means that the use of Soytherm essentially eliminates carbon dioxide from the atmosphere instead of adding to it as other foam manufacturers do.
About Urethane Soy Systems
Urethane Soy Systems Company was founded by a veteran formulator who saw the economic, functional, and environmental potential in using soybean oil in polyurethane applications. The company established a state-of-the-art facility deep in the heart of soybean country to manufacture Soyol
